Well….

John is bringing a focus group to Boston to be conducted at the same time as the NRLA Expo** and will be speaking with lumber dealers on Thursday morning, February 5, 2009 from 7 to 9 AM before the NRLA Expo** opens (Participants will most likely be attending the NRLA Expo**). He will be delving into the entire issue of GREEN and Sustainability and how or if it affects or has relevance in the way dealers market and / or shop for products for sales to their consumers and builders.

Do consumers and builders consider the product Green or the end result of using the product Green or both?

Are dealers using Green in their marketing to separate themselves from their competition? Are builders?

Are consumers and builders asking for Greener products in the Northeast?

Is the word Sustainable used by dealers or is that just another slick word?

Can Green products come from foreign lands? Which countries are best known for producing Green products?

Which products do dealers say are Greener? Steel, lumber, treated lumber, cedar, vinyl, fiberglass, glass, aluminum, and more?
